Violin and Fiddle Lessons
Hi, I’m Kim. I have been playing for a long time. I love traditional Irish music, and I’ve toured playing Irish music. I’ve played popular music as a section member and soloist, and I’ve been a paid player in orchestras. string quartets, and other chamber ensembles.
I addition to my playing experience I’ve taught violin and music at Belmont U, the University of Western Kentucky, The Art Institute of Atlanta, and Johnson University.

I teach at the Johnson University Community Music School in South Knoxville.
I do half hour lessons for beginners and full hour lessons for intermediate-advanced players.
WHAT I Offer
Irish
I’ve played Irish music on stage with the Nashville Celts, as a soloist, and with my current band: Blackberry Banshee.
I love hanging out at Irish sessions around the country. If your goal is to learn to play trad tunes, come see me!
Classical
I am an authorized Suzuki instructor with 2 decades of experience. Many of my students have gone on to be successful working musicians.
College Prep
As someone who has taught private-applied violin lessons for a handful of institutions, I love helping high-school students prepare for college auditions!
